This year we did not have quite as many participants and we had to adjust our gifts. We made 20 gifts and delivered them to 2 nursing homes as well as a basket of games and books for each nursing home's common room. Thank you so much to all who helped!
Bob and Rosemary Rodgers, my grandparents, lived lives of service to others. They rarely said no to anyone in need and asked for nothing in return. They took in sick relatives, kept an eye on the neighbors kids, drove friends to necessary appointments, went out of their way to show people they were loved, and encouraged everyone to go for their dreams.
As a way to “pay it forward” and continue their legacy of caring I have established The 202 Main Street Project. Through various fundraising activities we will be able to make mini-grants to those individuals and groups in need. We will also be teaming up with other organizations whose missions reflect the ideals of Bob and Rosemary.
We anticipate becoming a 501(c) 3 organization, but as of this time cannot guarantee we will be granted that status.
