Event Details
WHAT IS IT?
The Walk to Remember is intended to be a time for family to get together and share stories and memories about those members no longer with us. This event is designed to be participated in wherever you are. You can walk as little or as far as you want. You can even run if you want to. The hope is that you will take time to share your heritage with your family and even share your families' stories with your friends. WHEN IS IT? Wednesday, July 4* * This year the Flynn Hanley Reunion has been moved to the 7th. To honor the tradition of our family gathering on the 4th, we thought this would be a good day. WHAT TIME? That's the beauty of this - it's whatever time works for you. A group of us will be gathering at Buhl Park, near the Casino, at 9am, if you would like to come walk with us! WHERE Again, a group of us will be meeting at Buhl Park, but you can walk in your own neighborhood. We encourage you to gather as many people as possible to walk together. TELL US ABOUT IT Make sure you take pictures, you can upload them on our Facebook Page, you can also share maps (try mapmyrun). If you have ideas for how to make this event better, please let us know that too! Any photos or other items uploaded may be shared on this site as well. If you don't have a facebook account, you can email us your photos, too. |

"You are our living link to the past. Tell your grandchildren the story of the struggles waged, at home and abroad. Of sacrifices made for freedom's sake. And tell them your own story as well — because [everybody] has a story to tell." -George H. W. Bush, State of the Union Address, 1990
